Xiaomi Band 9 Pro Review: Features, Performance, and User Experience 2023
The Huawei Watch GT 3 I used to own ended up with water seeping in during a swim, which fried the motherboard and left it unchargeable. That experience taught me a harsh lesson—once bitten, twice shy—and now I steer clear of any wearable with buttons due to fears of water damage. So, I made the switch to the Xiaomi Band 9 Pro.

Let me tell you about my experience so far—it’s been overwhelmingly positive.
[One] The design is a standout for me. It’s sleek and minimalist, featuring curved glass and perfectly balanced edges that exude sophistication. While it doesn’t have the same decorative flair as the circular face of the Huawei Watch GT, both devices offer their own unique appeal.

[Two] As a fitness band, its lightweight build and compact size make it incredibly comfortable to wear. It blends seamlessly into daily life, staying virtually unnoticed on my wrist. Best of all, I can now wear it to bed to track my sleep quality—something I’ve been longing for!
[Three] The software experience is top-notch, offering an impressive level of customization.

There’s a wide variety of stylish, free watch faces to choose from, though I do wish there were more options for widget layouts or the ability to set them all to smaller 1×1 grids.
[Four] Outdoor GPS tracking for exercise is lightning-fast, making workouts smoother than ever. However, there is some delay when recording swimming laps—a quirk also present in the Watch GT (luckily, it only happened once before the water incident 😅).
