After upgrading my system from a Ryzen 5 5600X and RX 6800XT to a Ryzen 7 5700X3D and RX 9070XT, I’ve encountered persistent screen tearing and stuttering in Battlefield 6. Despite the CPU consistently delivering 144 FPS or higher and the GPU producing 150–170 FPS with stable frametimes between 5 and 7 ms, the visual issues remain.
I’m using a Samsung Odyssey G5 monitor (2K, 144Hz) with FreeSync Premium enabled. My current settings include “Wait for vertical refresh” set to Always On in the driver but disabled in-game, and FRTC capped at 139 FPS, following a guide on optimal FPS caps. I’ve tried troubleshooting by switching to AMD Chill with the same values, disabling FreeSync on the monitor, and turning off Wait for Vertical Refresh in the Adrenalin software, but the problem persists. My aim is to achieve smooth gameplay with minimal input latency for this fast-paced FPS shooter, and I’m seeking advice on the correct configuration to resolve these issues.
