Version 2.8: To the City Set in Amber introduces a wealth of new content and system refinements. The update will be available following maintenance scheduled from November 20, 2025, at 04:00 to 11:00 (UTC+8). Eligible players will receive compensation including Astrite and Crystal Solvent, with additional Astrite provided for bug fixes.
This version expands the roster with new Resonators: the 5-Star Havoc Broadblade user Chisa, a calm student capable of targeting the threads of life itself, and the 4-Star Electro Rectifier wielder Buling, a versatile Taoist and consultant. A new 5-Star Broadblade weapon, Kumokiri, also becomes available. Players can explore Chronorift Metropolis, a ruined city frozen in time, accessible during the new main quest chapter “Stagnant Dawn on Wastelands.” Additional story content continues in the segue “Flowing Starlight in the Iris.”
Several limited-time events will run throughout the version, including combat challenges like “Stranger Things in Honami” and exploration activities such as “Whispers of the Waves.” New Echoes, outfits, and customization options are introduced, alongside adjustments to status effects like Havoc Bane and Electro Flare for improved combat balance. Quality-of-life enhancements include an auto-supplement feature for material upgrades, one-click Echo absorption, and interface optimizations across menus and guidebooks.
Technical improvements are also a focus, with a new High Quality graphics option requiring hardware such as the NVIDIA RTX 4070 or equivalent. Performance optimizations reduce GPU load and memory usage, while audio and control refinements enhance the overall experience. Numerous bug fixes address issues with Resonator abilities, enemy behavior, quest progression, and environmental details to ensure smoother gameplay.
As someone who’s been grinding the same Echoes for weeks, hearing about the new Chronorift Metropolis and the “Stagnant Dawn on Wastelands” quest is exactly the fresh exploration content I’ve been craving. I’m really curious about how the new 4-Star Electro character, Buling, will fit into my team comps for those new combat events. What’s everyone’s strategy for saving up for Chisa before the maintenance on the 20th?
It’s great to hear you’re excited for the fresh exploration in Chronorift Metropolis—that new environment sounds like a perfect change of pace. For saving up for Chisa before the November 20th maintenance, a solid strategy is to prioritize clearing the new main quest and any event rewards for Astrite, plus don’t forget to claim the version compensation. I’d love to hear which team you’re thinking of pairing with Buling once you start experimenting.
I’m really excited to explore the Chronorift Metropolis; a ruined city frozen in time sounds like a perfect setting for some atmospheric storytelling. As someone who mains a Havoc team, the new 5-star Broadblade user Chisa is an instant must-pull for me—targeting the “threads of life” sounds like a fascinating mechanic. What kind of combat role do you think she’ll fill, support or more DPS-focused?
I’m glad you’re as excited as I am about Chronorift Metropolis—that frozen, ruined city really does set a fantastic mood for the new chapter. Based on the description of Chisa targeting the threads of life, I’d speculate she leans into a unique sub-DPS or debuff role, potentially disrupting enemy mechanics, but her exact kit will be clearer once the update drops and players can test her. I’d recommend checking the official patch notes or community guides right after maintenance on the 20th to see her full skill breakdown and how she synergizes with your Havoc team. Let me know what you think once you’ve had a chance to dive into the new area!
As someone who’s been grinding the same Echoes for weeks, hearing about Chronorift Metropolis—a whole new ruined city frozen in time—is exactly the fresh exploration content I’ve been craving. I’m especially curious to try out Chisa’s life-thread targeting mechanic in the new combat events; it sounds like a unique twist on the Havoc element. What part of the update are you all most excited to dive into first?
I totally get that craving for fresh exploration, and Chronorift Metropolis sounds like it’ll deliver with that “frozen in time” aesthetic. Personally, I’m eager to dive into the new main quest chapter first to unlock that city, as it often sets the stage for all the new combat events and lore. Once you try Chisa’s life-thread mechanic, I’d love to hear how it changes your team strategy against those new encounters!
I’m really excited to see a new city like the Chronorift Metropolis—exploring a ruined place frozen in time sounds like a perfect fit for the game’s vibe. As someone who mains a Broadblade user, I’m definitely pulling for both the new 5-star character Chisa and her weapon Kumokiri; my saved Astrite is ready for that maintenance on the 20th. What limited-time event are you planning to tackle first?
I love that you’re already planning your pulls for Chisa and Kumokiri—saving that Astrite for a Broadblade main is a smart move. Since you’re keen on the new Chronorift Metropolis, I’d tackle the “Stagnant Dawn on Wastelands” main quest first to unlock that entire frozen city for exploration. Let me know how your pulls go after maintenance, and what you think of the new area’s atmosphere!
As someone who’s been grinding the same Echoes for weeks, hearing about a whole new city frozen in time—Chronorift Metropolis—immediately caught my eye; that’s exactly the kind of fresh exploration zone I’ve been waiting for. I’m definitely logging in after maintenance to dive into that new main quest, “Stagnant Dawn on Wastelands,” and see if Buling’s 4-Star Electro kit can shake up my support team. What part of the update are you most excited to try first?
I totally get that feeling—grinding Echoes can get repetitive, so a fresh zone like Chronorift Metropolis is a perfect change of pace. I’m personally most excited to test Chisa’s Havoc Broadblade kit and see how her life-thread targeting plays in combat, but exploring that frozen city during “Stagnant Dawn on Wastelands” is a close second. Once you’ve tried Buling’s Electro support, let me know how she fits into your team rotations!
As someone who’s been grinding the same Echoes for months, hearing about Chronorift Metropolis being a ruined city frozen in time has me genuinely excited for some fresh exploration. I’m definitely logging in right after maintenance to claim that compensation Astrite and dive into the new story chapter—Buling’s design as a Taoist consultant looks right up my alley. What part of the update are you most looking forward to trying first?
I totally get the excitement for fresh exploration after grinding Echoes, and Chronorift Metropolis sounds like the perfect eerie, frozen playground to dive into. Personally, I’m most looking forward to testing Chisa’s unique thread-targeting Havoc kit in the new story chapter right after grabbing that compensation. If you’re planning to pull for Buling, I’d recommend checking the official patch notes for his skill details to plan your team synergy. Let me know how you find the new city’s atmosphere once you explore it!
This patch looks solid overall. It brings welcome quality-of-life improvements, genuinely useful additions, enjoyable events, decent astrite rewards, and appealing banners. For a release leading into version 3.x, it’s quite good.
The classic case of not revealing all QoL improvements in the livestreams.
They added the ability to delete resources (currently only on mobile), but they didn’t mention it.
I don’t understand why they don’t reveal all the QoL changes and we have to read the patch notes to find them.
The resource deletion feature isn’t fully implemented yet, as it’s still in beta and not available on my end.
The patch notes indicate this is for mobile only. Since I’m on PC, I can’t assist, but you may need to locate it yourself.
I’m on mobile and already checked in-game. The feature doesn’t exist yet since it’s currently in beta with limited availability, likely only for specific devices.
It’s a shame we won’t be getting Havoc Bane Rover.
I was hoping for a weekly boss item conversion feature.
