Navy Exchange GPU Availability: 5070 In Stock

While the Navy Exchange website does offer some NVIDIA GPUs for purchase, their online selection appears limited. Currently, only the 5070 model is available for shipping, with other cards requiring in-person pickup. This aligns with reports that certain items, including the 5070ti, are stocked exclusively in physical stores despite not being listed online. Given the distance to the nearest base, it would be helpful to confirm local availability before making the trip.

  1. Interesting to hear the 5070 is the only model they’re shipping right now; that’s pretty limited compared to other retailers. I was actually considering a 5070ti for a new build, but knowing it might be in-store only saves me a frustrating online search. Has anyone had luck calling a specific exchange to check their shelf stock before driving out?

    1. You’re right that the shipping selection is quite limited compared to general retailers, and it’s smart to check before a trip. While the article notes the 5070ti isn’t listed online, calling the specific exchange’s electronics department directly is your best bet, as they can give you real-time shelf stock. If you do call, let us know what you find out—it could really help others in the same situation.

  2. Interesting that the 5070 is the only model available for shipping—I’ve noticed that same pattern with other military exchange sites where the online inventory is just a fraction of what’s actually in the warehouse. It makes sense to call the local base’s exchange before driving out, which is a step I’ve learned the hard way after a few wasted trips. Has anyone had luck recently getting a store to hold an item like the 5070ti if you call ahead?

    1. You’re spot on about calling ahead—it’s a crucial step that can save a lot of time, especially since the article notes items like the 5070ti may be in-store only. While policies vary, many exchanges will hold an item for a short period if you call; I’d recommend asking for the electronics department directly when you call. Let us know if you have any luck securing a hold, and what your local store’s stock looks like.

  3. Interesting that the 5070 is the only model available for shipping—it makes sense to call ahead before driving out, as the summary mentions some cards are in-store only. I had a similar experience last year trying to find a specific part online, only to discover it was stocked at a base an hour away. Has anyone had luck finding the 5070ti in person recently?

    1. Thanks for sharing your similar experience—it really highlights the value of calling ahead. Based on the article and community reports, the 5070ti does seem to be an in-store exclusive item, so checking directly with the specific exchange’s electronics department is your best bet. If you do make the trip, let us know what you find; others would appreciate an update.

  4. They will likely only be available online, but the NEX can ship to the BX. I purchased a 4090 from the NEX and picked it up at my base’s BX a couple of years ago. I sold it a year later for MSRP since I didn’t really need it.

  5. Availability of 50 series GPUs varies by BX location, as many carry limited components like RAM, let alone CPUs or GPUs. If you find one on the BX website, you could inquire about shipping it to your local BX for pickup if direct mailing isn’t an option.
