Frame generation appears to be incompatible with the 7k series when using the leaked Int8 FSR4 DLL alongside OptiScaler. On systems like the 7900 GRE and 7700 XT running Space Marine 2, neither in-game frame generation nor OptiScaler frame generation function properly under these conditions. However, FSR4 and frame generation work correctly in games that natively support FSR 3.1 or FSR4 on the 7900, such as Spider-Man 2 and GTA5, where OptiScaler isn’t required.
The issue seems specific to games relying on OptiScaler for FSR4 implementation, where frame generation fails to activate. In the case of Space Marine 2, which uses FSR 2.1, this may explain why frame generation doesn’t work with OptiScaler enabled. While FSR4 can be successfully implemented in various games using the DLL swap method, OptiScaler appears to lack the necessary vectors to support frame generation functionality.
