Yes, you can attach a Canon EOS 2000D to the Celestron NexStar 127 SLT with the appropriate T-ring and T-adapter for your camera model.

You may also want to use a Barlow lens with your camera for planetary imaging, as planets appear quite small.
Yes, it can be done with a T-adapter. I use a Canon Rebel T7 attached to a Celestron AstroFi 102 and can achieve up to 5–8 seconds of exposure. It works well for lunar photography.
