It works on iOS 9 with an iPhone 4s. Thanks for the tweak. Are you planning to fix another app besides Twitter?
For Instagram, this tweak is unnecessary. Simply enable two-factor authentication, and you’ll be able to log in.
Viva Argentina 🇦🇷
Instagram and Twitter are available for iOS 9.
Fellow Argentine here, glad you got it working, especially Twitter. I really miss the little bird.
You’re welcome.
I’m developing a tweak to fix Twitter on legacy devices, which avoids using the kill switch method. I’ve also resolved issues like photos displaying as pic.x.com by replacing the link with pic.twitter.com, so everything now functions as intended.
Nice to know! If you ever need a tester, I’m available.
For iOS 9, you can try the TwitterLegacyPatcher from GitHub. However, please note that many features are currently not working.
The GitHub release section doesn’t contain any files to download for the tweak, or I might be looking in the wrong place.
Once logged in, I recommend uninstalling Killswitch as it may pose a risk to your personal data.
If you enable two-step verification on your Instagram account, you can log in without using any tweaks on iOS 9. I’ve tested this on several of my iOS 9 devices, and it worked well, although some posts may not display properly.
I didn’t realize it was that simple.
