Exciting leaks have surfaced regarding MediaTek’s next-gen flagship mobile processor, the Dimensity 9500, revealing some groundbreaking specifications.

Industry reports indicate the Dimensity 9500 will harness TSMC’s cutting-edge N3P manufacturing process and revolutionize performance with its all-big-core architecture. This powerhouse combines one Travis core, three Alto cores, and four Gelas cores, paired with the formidable Immortalis-Drage GPU boasting 16MB L3 cache and 10MB SLC cache.

The upgraded NPU 9.0 delivers staggering AI performance up to 100 TOPS. Memory capabilities are equally impressive, supporting blazing-fast quad-channel LPDDR5x RAM at 10,667 Mbps speeds and quad-channel UFS 4.1 storage. Most notably, its GPU microarchitecture breakthrough dramatically enhances ray-tracing while slashing power consumption and unlocking full AI potential.

Rewinding to its predecessor, the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 made waves when it debuted in October 2024. Built on TSMC’s refined second-gen 3nm process, this chip packed an octa-core CPU configuration featuring:
• One Arm Cortex-X925 core (3.62 GHz with 2MB L2 cache)
• Three Arm Cortex-X4 cores (1MB L2 cache each)
• Four Arm Cortex-A720 cores (512KB L2 cache each)
Graphics were handled by the Arm Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU alongside the eighth-gen AI processor (NPU 890).

The chip also integrated a 3GPP R17 5G modem, PC-grade Dimensity OMM ray-tracing, and MediaTek’s HyperEngine StarSpeed technology.
