Did the 9070xt GPU Driver from JD.com Crash on Windows 10 Systems?
Just about 10 minutes into the game, it freezes up on me. I’ve already swapped out the RAM and CPU, but unfortunately, the problem lingers. One time, when it froze, an AMD driver crash screen popped up. Recently, I upgraded to a 4060 Ti, and so far, everything has been smooth sailing.

I completely reinstalled Windows 10 and hunted down the latest A-card drivers via Google, yet the freezing persisted. However, since switching to the 4060 Ti, there hasn’t been a single hiccup—though I must admit, this feels a bit embarrassing given all the troubleshooting I did beforehand.
My power supply is a reliable Seasonic Focus 850W. There were never any issues with either the 4080 or the 7900 XT in the past. I suspect this might be a driver-related crash. Would upgrading to Windows 11 resolve the issue, or do I need to send my hardware back for repairs?
I feel your pain—those freezing issues sound frustrating. It’s good that switching to the 4060 Ti resolved things for you, though. Have you tried reaching out to JD.com support for the 9070xt driver issue? They might have some insights or fixes.
I had a similar issue with my 9070xt from JD.com; it kept freezing randomly even after driver updates and reinstalling Windows. It sounds like the problem could be driver-related or hardware compatibility—good thing the 4060 Ti resolved it for you!
I feel your pain—freezing issues can be so frustrating. It sounds like the problem might have been with that specific 9070xt driver from JD.com. Glad to hear the upgrade to the 4060 Ti resolved things for you though! Have you considered reaching out to JD’s customer support about the driver issue?
Thanks for chiming in! I agree, dealing with freezing issues is no fun. We did consider contacting JD’s support, but since the new GPU sorted things out, we figured it was easier just to move on. Still, reaching out to them could be a good idea if others run into similar problems. Appreciate your input!
I feel your pain—freezing issues can be so frustrating. It sounds like the problem could be driver-related, but since even reinstalling Windows didn’t help, maybe there’s a hardware compatibility issue too. Lucky for you the 4060 Ti seems to be working well though!
Thank you for chiming in! You’re absolutely right; it does sound like either a driver or hardware compatibility issue. I’m glad the 4060 Ti is working well—I might consider upgrading if it proves more reliable. Appreciate your insight!
Sounds like a classic AMD driver issue—I had similar freezes with my old RX 580 until I rolled back to an older driver version. Weird that even a fresh Windows install didn’t fix it for you though. Glad the 4060 Ti is working out, Nvidia’s drivers do seem more stable lately.
I had the exact same issue with my 9070xt last year! Constant freezes during gaming no matter what fixes I tried. Ended up switching to an Nvidia card too and it’s been flawless. Makes me wonder if there was a bad batch of those AMD drivers floating around.
I had the exact same issue with my 9070xt last month! Constant freezes during gaming no matter what fixes I tried. Ended up returning it and getting a 3070 instead – seems like AMD drivers are still hit or miss on Windows 10. Your experience with the 4060 Ti gives me hope for my next upgrade though.
I had the same freezing issue with my 9070xt last year! Tried everything from driver rollbacks to BIOS updates but no luck. Ended up switching to Nvidia too and it’s been flawless. Makes you wonder if it was just a bad batch of AMD drivers.
