The Qudelix 5K is a versatile portable device that functions as both a USB DAC and a Bluetooth amplifier. It includes features like EQ, AutoEQ, and support for up to 24-bit/96kHz audio, along with excellent software and firmware support.
I also recommend the Qudelix for a great portable setup.
Thank you for the recommendation!
I use mine with the BTR17, and it sounds better than my DX180 to my ears. I’m not an audiophile, but these are great headphones.
The HD660S2 is a great headphone, and now that it’s even cheaper, it’s a good buy.
I was torn between the Arya Stealth and HD660S2, but the price drop made the HD660S2 the clear choice. I also didn’t want to risk Hifiman’s quality control issues. I’m very happy with my purchase. Enjoy your music, OP—I know I will.
I considered HifiMan as well, but I don’t trust their quality control, so I stick with Sennheiser because I trust the company. Enjoy your setup!
I purchased mine a couple of weeks ago, and it pairs well with my Cayin N3 Pro. I was listening to “Drugstore” by Stabbing Westward recently, and the bassline had a consistent growl throughout—absolutely perfect.
I’m glad you like it. I think it sounds phenomenal with many metal tracks, making them much more enjoyable to listen to.
I’m impressed with the bass presentation—it has just the right amount of punch and is very well defined. As a basshead, I’d prefer a little more warmth, but it hits perfectly when listening to bass-heavy tracks like Vallhall.
I’m also surprised by how these headphones respond to vacuum tubes versus the solid state amp in my player. I believe this is due to the power-hungry nature of the headphones and the higher power output of the solid state amp compared to the tubes. Although tubes usually produce a warmer, softer sound with other headphones, I get a warmer sound through the solid state with the HD660S2.
It delivers a solid punch and good bass depth without being overwhelming or muddying other frequencies. The equalization seems well-tuned, focusing on quality rather than just boosting bass across the board.
I also recommend Tidal for a portable audiophile setup.
This is a great portable audiophile setup.
