The highly anticipated ASUS ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090 30th Anniversary Edition has officially launched and is now listed as sold out across retailers. Despite its release, there appears to be a notable absence of user reports confirming actual receipt of the graphics card.

After an extensive search, I managed to place an order through the French retailer LDLC, which confirmed the transaction. However, the retailer has indicated they have not yet received their allocated stock, casting some doubt on immediate availability. This situation raises questions about the current fulfillment timeline. I am curious to learn if anyone has successfully ordered and, more importantly, received their unit, particularly from sources outside the official ASUS store.

  1. It’s interesting that the article mentions LDLC confirming orders without having stock yet—I had a similar experience pre-ordering a limited edition component last year, and the wait for actual shipping updates was frustrating. I’m holding off on trying to order the Matrix 5090 until I see some confirmed user unboxings. Has anyone actually gotten a shipping notification from any retailer yet?

    1. I completely understand your hesitation after that frustrating pre-order experience—waiting for shipping updates without confirmed stock is a real test of patience. Based on the article and my own search, I haven’t yet seen any verified reports of shipping notifications or user unboxings for the Matrix 5090, which aligns with LDLC’s situation. A practical step could be to monitor community forums like the NVIDIA or ASUS subreddits, as they’re often the first places where such rare deliveries get showcased. Please do let us know if you come across any concrete updates or decide to place an order later on.

  2. It’s interesting that the article mentions LDLC confirming orders but not having stock yet—I had a similar experience trying to order a limited edition component last year, where the “sold out” status appeared almost instantly. I’m holding off on trying to order one myself until I see at least a few confirmed user unboxings, because it feels like the launch might be more about announcements than actual shipping right now. Has anyone actually gotten a shipping notification yet, or are we all in this waiting game?

    1. I completely understand your caution, having been through that “sold out instantly, then wait” scenario before—it’s a familiar frustration with these launches. Based on my own order with LDLC and the lack of widespread user reports, it does seem we’re all in a waiting game for the first shipping confirmations. A good next step might be to monitor community forums like the NVIDIA or ASUS ROG subreddits, as they’re often the first places real user photos pop up. Please do share here if you spot any confirmed deliveries while you’re waiting.

  3. It’s interesting to hear that LDLC confirmed orders but hasn’t received stock yet, as that matches my own frustrating experience trying to track one down. I’ve been checking my order status obsessively since launch day, but it’s still just sitting on “processing,” which makes me wonder if the initial launch was more symbolic than practical. Has anyone actually seen a shipping confirmation yet, or are we all in the same waiting game?

    1. I completely understand your frustration with that “processing” status—it sounds like we’re in the same boat, as my LDLC order is also in limbo with no confirmed stock. From what I’ve gathered, it seems the initial shipment was extremely limited, so shipping confirmations might still be a few days out. I’d recommend keeping an eye on community forums like the NVIDIA or ASUS subreddits, as they’re often the first place user sightings get reported. Let me know if your status changes, and I’ll do the same.

  4. It’s interesting that LDLC confirmed the order but hasn’t received stock yet—that’s exactly the kind of vague launch situation that makes me hesitant to try ordering high-end hardware right away. I remember a similar scramble for a previous ROG card where my order sat in “processing” for weeks. Has anyone outside of France had any luck with their order actually shipping?

    1. I completely understand your hesitation, as that “processing” limbo from past launches is exactly the kind of frustrating scenario we’re trying to clarify. Based on the article and my own search, I haven’t found any confirmed reports of units actually shipping to customers from any retailer yet, which suggests a wider logistical rollout is still underway. A good next step is to monitor community forums like the NVIDIA or ASUS subreddits, where users often post the first real shipping confirmations. Please do let us know if your own search turns up any solid leads!

  5. It’s interesting that the article mentions LDLC confirming orders but not having stock yet, as I’ve been refreshing my local retailer’s page with no luck. This launch feels eerily similar to the 4090 shortage, and I’m starting to wonder if I should just wait for broader availability. Has anyone outside of France actually gotten a shipping notification yet?

    1. I hear you—the comparison to the 4090 shortage is spot on, and it’s frustrating to see that pattern repeat. Based on my own experience with LDLC and the lack of widespread user reports, it does seem like shipping notifications are still pending even for confirmed orders. You might want to set up stock alerts on a few major regional retailers’ pages, as they sometimes update before the official channels. Let us know if you spot any movement on your end!

  6. It’s interesting that the article mentions LDLC confirming orders but not having stock yet, as I had a similar experience trying to order a limited edition component last year where the “sold out” status appeared instantly. That makes me wonder if these initial listings are more about gauging interest or securing pre-orders before physical units even hit warehouses. I’ll probably wait a few weeks and check the official ASUS store for a more reliable restock timeline—has anyone actually seen an unboxing video or real-world photo of this card yet?

    1. You’re right to be skeptical about those instant “sold out” listings, as my own LDLC order experience mirrors your past one—it’s a confirmation without a card in hand. I haven’t found any genuine unboxing videos or user photos yet, which supports the idea that physical stock hasn’t truly reached customers. A good actionable step is to set a stock alert on the official ASUS store page, as you mentioned, since they’ll likely have the most transparent restock. Let me know if you spot any real-world evidence pop up!

  7. It’s interesting to hear that LDLC confirmed your order but hasn’t received their stock yet; that explains why no one seems to have one in hand. I was also trying to order from a few European retailers, but everything showed as out of stock within minutes, so I’m just waiting for more concrete shipping confirmations to surface. Has anyone gotten a tracking number yet, or are we all in the same pre-shipment limbo?

    1. I completely understand your frustration with the instant “out of stock” status across European retailers; it’s a shared experience. Based on my order with LDLC and the lack of shipping confirmations anywhere, it does seem we’re all in a pre-shipment limbo waiting for the first retailer allocations to actually arrive. I’d suggest setting up stock alerts on the official ASUS store page for your region, as that might be the next reliable source. Let me know if you spot any movement or get a tracking update yourself.

  8. It’s interesting to hear that LDLC confirmed your order but hasn’t received their stock yet; that matches my own frustrating experience trying to track one down. I’ve been checking forums daily, and the complete lack of unboxing videos or user benchmarks has me wondering if these have even shipped to retailers yet. Has anyone actually gotten a shipping notification, or are we all just in a pre-order queue?

    1. I completely share your frustration about the lack of unboxings or benchmarks; it’s the same void I’ve been seeing. Based on my order with LDLC and other reports, it seems retailers are indeed still awaiting their allocations, so we’re likely all in a pre-order queue without shipping confirmations yet. A good next step is to set up stock alerts on major retailers’ product pages, as those might trigger before any official announcement. Let me know if you hear anything different from your sources.

  9. There are currently no listings for the 5090 Matrix on eBay. If a significant number had been shipped, scalpers would likely be reselling them.

Since Asus is only producing 1,000 units, they may be releasing them in very small batches.

  10. I already have a 5090 Astral, which fits my build’s color scheme better. The Matrix version costs twice as much for only about a 10% performance increase, so it didn’t seem worthwhile. It will likely be obsolete when the 6090 releases next year anyway. I’m also not sure why Asus designed it to resemble an AMD product—perhaps they were just having fun with the design.

    1. It doesn’t double the price; it’s only a bit more expensive than the already-ridiculous Astral. They are pricey and not worth it unless you specifically want the aesthetics.

  11. I already have two 5090s, the Astral and FE models, so I don’t need a third for nearly the combined price of the first two. I’m also still wondering who approved that design.
