After performing a fresh installation of Windows 11 25H2 on a Beelink SER8 8745HS system, using an ISO downloaded directly from Microsoft and a bootable USB created with Rufus 4.11, an unexpected issue arose. The installation was completed with internet disconnected and configured to remove the online account requirement, disable data collection and BitLocker, and apply the CA 2023 bootloader. However, upon first connecting to the internet and attempting to visit any website in a browser, the system displays an “Unusual traffic from your computer network” message.
Despite multiple reinstallations and thorough scans with Windows Defender, Spybot, and Malwarebytes—all of which detected no threats—the error persists. This has raised concerns about whether the modifications made during setup, such as disabling data collection, could be triggering the alert. While online searches suggest this message can occasionally appear on a new installation but often indicates malware, no evidence of compromise has been found. Given the urgency of preparing the computer for parental use, the user is considering reverting to the factory image to verify security and resolve the issue.
