I don’t have an X280, but that cooler looks just like one I used to own. It has a single fan with a blue light, correct?

You might consider the 16:10 HiDPI 13.3″ screen option. I recently discovered there’s also a 2-lane 2560×1600 version available.
My X280 runs Linux perfectly, so there’s no need for an upgrade.
Consider a dual boot setup.
I purchased it new and installed Linux on the first boot, so it has never booted into Windows.
I installed the X210 WiFi 6 card in mine along with an LTE antenna that uses a microSIM.
Upgrading the X280’s Wi-Fi from the AC8265 to the AX210 is a solid choice. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5 offer improved stability and better compatibility with modern networks.
You can install a glass touchpad if yours isn’t already one. If your device has a SIM card slot in the back, you can also use it to add a microSD card for extra storage.
What are your upgrade options? What components are still upgradeable on it?
