The game is reportedly in development hell. If it were already finished and just being polished, they wouldn’t have delayed it another six months. Expect a 2027 release. Unless we’re within six weeks of November 19, it could still be delayed before the game is finalized.
I’m not confident in the slightest. I’m preparing myself for a fourth delay. It would be unwise to get excited at this point since you’re just setting yourself up for disappointment.
Before the May delay, I was 90% sure it wouldn’t happen. Before this delay, I was 70% sure. Now I’m only 50% sure—either it will happen or it won’t.
I don’t think they can allow more than one delay at this point for two reasons. First, T2’s stock price fell 10% after the delay; a third delay would cause a bigger drop. Investors will push them to release no matter what, even if it means brutal crunch, bugs, and everything else, just to avoid a fourth delay. Second, they still want to release on PS5 to double-dip with console players, and maybe triple-dip with some wealthier PC players. If a third delay happens, my confidence would go back up to 90%.
Tom Henderson is only speculating, aside from the content being ready. The game could easily be delayed again, possibly to January 2027, and that’s what we should anticipate. If it releases in November, that’s great, but there’s no reason to assume November is the actual date just because it’s a year away.

On the topic of releasing just before the next generation, games like GTA V and Skyrim have shown that timing doesn’t matter. If you release it, people will buy it.

At this point, I’m with those who are unsure. Given the public turmoil at Rockstar North, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s another delay.
You’ll find many people confidently claiming GTA 6 exists, but no one who feels sure about its release date.
I’m cautiously optimistic this time. I had no confidence in the previous release date and saw that delay coming from a mile away. At this point, I believe they’ve exhausted their delays, along with everything you mentioned.
