Based on TheGhostOfHope’s Twitter leaks, Xbox is planning to release its next-generation console in Q4 2026. It’s reportedly a fully cloud-streaming console. I believe PlayStation will likely follow with the PS6 in 2027.
I bought the PS5 specifically for GTA 6, but at this point, I might just wait for the PC version and play it on my high-end setup.
I already have three PS5s, so I think I can wait for the PS6.
I don’t see the point. The most noticeable upgrade from the PS4 to PS5, besides graphics, was the faster loading times. There would need to be another major quality-of-life improvement to make a PS6 worthwhile.
It’s unlikely most people will get a PS6 in its first year due to scalpers driving up prices. The console will likely retail for over $600, but scalpers could resell it for $1,000 to $2,000.
The PS5 Slim offers great value and will run the game as well as possible.
