Stack the noise reduction for better results. It’s a great photo, and this was one of the first deep-sky objects I saw in detail with my SW150/750 telescope.
This is similar to my view in a Bortle 7 area, but it remains one of my favorite sights.
I’ve seen M13 pictured on this sub frequently, but tonight was my first time observing it live through my 10″ dob with a 9mm eyepiece. The photos truly don’t do it justice—it looks incredible in person and is probably the most visually stunning thing I’ve seen yet. Pictures struggle to capture the gray arms connecting all the stars, and I’m still in awe.
Is this a single shot or stacked? What were your ISO and shutter speed settings?
What aperture, focal length, and eyepiece are you using with your telescope?
With a 5-inch aperture telescope and a 1500mm focal length, he likely used a 25mm eyepiece and a phone holder.
You are correct.
I still remember the awe and joy I felt when I first spotted it.
That’s my photo with my Sky-Watcher 350, but I prefer yours. How long was the exposure?
For M13, I recommend stacking 100 exposures at 2 seconds each.
