Best Graphics Cards: Waiting Times and Availability in 2023
The motherboard is the B850 Snow, paired with a powerhouse CPU, the 9700X. For cooling, I’ve installed the Aigo Cube 360 water cooling system to keep temperatures in check. The case is the sleek Jonsbo TK3, and while the fans are just some randomly picked magnetic building block models, they get the job done.

Memory-wise, I’m rocking the Asgard Valkyrie second generation RAM, 32GB dual-channel setup. Powering it all is the robust DeepCool 1000W PSU. Right now, I’m patiently waiting for a 5070ti [laughing], though cable management hasn’t been tackled yet—I’ll sort that out once the graphics card arrives [facepalm].

PS: Ugh, lately I’ve come across posts about ASUS motherboards allegedly damaging the gold fingers of GPUs, which has left me feeling pretty down. Is there any way around this issue?
Update: ROG’s JD customer service assured me they’d replace the motherboard and even throw in a 200 RMB e-card as compensation. While the replacement hasn’t happened yet, I’ve already placed an order for a Colorful 5070ti—finally, the graphics card is on its way!

I see you’re still waiting on those graphics cards—been there, it’s frustrating! The build you described sounds solid though, especially with that cooling system; temps are crucial. Have you considered checking smaller boutique PC shops? Sometimes they have better availability. Good luck getting everything sorted soon!
It sounds like you’ve got a solid build going there! I’m dealing with similar GPU wait times; it’s maddening how long these components are taking to become available. Have you considered an alternative cooling solution in the meantime? Just curious, since the Aigo Cube 360 seems overkill but could work depending on your temps.
Thanks for sharing your experience! I haven’t explored alternative cooling solutions yet, but that’s a great point—especially if things drag on longer. The Aigo Cube 360 is indeed overkill for most setups, but it could be worth considering if you’re pushing high-performance demands. Appreciate the tip, and good luck finding a GPU soon!
I’m in the same boat, waiting forever for a graphics card! It’s frustrating how long these components take to become available. I like your build though—Aigo Cube 360 sounds like solid cooling, and 32GB of RAM is future-proof for sure. Let me know if you end up upgrading anything while you wait.
I’m still facing long wait times for the RTX 4090, just like the author mentioned. It’s frustrating to see these high-end cards remain out of stock for so long. The build described in the article sounds solid, especially that Aigo Cube 360 cooling system. I wonder if the new motherboards will make any noticeable difference in performance.
Thanks for sharing your experience! Yes, the ongoing supply issues with high-end GPUs like the RTX 4090 are really tough, but hopefully things will improve soon. The Aigo Cube 360 does sound impressive, and while newer motherboards can offer subtle performance gains, it often depends on the specific use case. Great to hear you’re diving into these details—happy building!
It’s interesting to hear about your build and the components you’re using. I’ve been keeping an eye on graphics card availability too, it’s been tough to get my hands on a good one lately. Have you considered any alternative coolers if the water cooling system becomes problematic? Looking forward to hearing more updates on your setup!
Thank you for your interest and great question! I haven’t had any issues with the water cooler yet, but I do have a few alternatives in mind, like a high-performance air cooler, just in case. It’s definitely a relief to hear others are also navigating these supply challenges—seems like everyone is in the same boat right now. Appreciate your support, and I’ll be sure to share updates as things progress!
That B850 Snow and 9700X combo sounds like a beast! I’m curious though, with all that high-end gear, which GPU are you actually waiting for? The market’s been so unpredictable lately. Also, how’s the Aigo Cube 360 handling the temps under load?
Great combo choice! Personally, I’m eyeing the RTX 5080 for that setup—if Nvidia’s supply can keep up this time. As for the Aigo Cube 360, it’s handling the 9700X’s temps surprisingly well, staying under 70°C in most stress tests. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
That B850 Snow and 9700X combo sounds like a beast! I’m curious though, which GPU are you waiting for with that 1000W PSU ready to go? The market’s been crazy with shortages lately.
Great choice with that combo! Personally, I’d pair it with an RTX 5090 or RX 8900 XT if you can snag one – that 1000W PSU will handle them nicely. The shortages are indeed frustrating, but stock seems to be improving slowly. Thanks for sharing your setup – happy gaming when you get your GPU!
