I finally got my hands on the drone I’ve been dreaming of! Everyone always talks about crashes, but after a quick practice session today, even kids can handle it with ease under the full moon glow.
Here’s what truly blew me away:
[One R] Portability! When folded, it’s about the size of two palms and surprisingly lightweight, making it super easy to carry around anywhere you go (just remember to grab a carrying case separately).
[Two R] All-around obstacle avoidance: This feature is a game-changer for beginners. I was leaning toward the Mini 2, but when the store clerk mentioned this, I instantly went for the 4 Pro 😂. Knowing the drone can sense obstacles eases my fear of crashes significantly. Keep in mind, though, that this function doesn’t work at night since it relies on cameras rather than radar.
[Three R] Automatic return-to-home: Isn’t this just pure peace of mind? If the battery gets low, it’ll fly back to you all by itself 😂. For someone like me, this is an absolute must-have.
The drone’s acceleration and deceleration are incredibly smooth, so it’s not as adrenaline-pumping or wild as a racing drone.
With a battery life of roughly 30 minutes, it does require some favorable weather conditions. While it’s officially rated to handle winds up to level 5, anything above level 3 can make it feel a bit shaky. Still, I think it’s perfect for beginners! The controls, connection, takeoff, and landing are all extremely user-friendly.
Plus, you can simulate flights on the app before heading out. I’m planning to get some practice in at the experience store before taking mine out for a spin—haha, that’s the beauty of shopping at physical stores, right? ✌️
