The latest news reveals that the Honor Magic 8 series is set to make its debut by the end of this year, boasting an impressive 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. This cutting-edge feature promises to elevate the device’s imaging capabilities to new heights.
For context, the current Honor Magic 7 standard model features a triple-camera setup, including a 50-megapixel wide-angle main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. Notably, the telephoto lens offers 3x optical zoom with a maximum aperture of f/2.4, OIS optical image stabilization, and an incredible 50x digital zoom capability.
Interestingly, reports suggest that the Honor Magic 8 standard version may shift away from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 series flagship platform, opting instead for MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 processor. However, the Honor Magic 8 Pro and the premium Porsche Design edition are expected to retain the Snapdragon series mobile platform.
