VIVO Camera Review: How It Compares to LG’s 8-Year-Old Flagship Phone Camera
While scrolling through my Baidu Cloud albums yesterday, I stumbled upon a treasure trove of memories—photos from my Yunnan adventure eight years ago. At first glance, I assumed they were taken with a professional camera, but a quick check of the metadata revealed these stunning shots were actually captured by my trusty old LG G5.
Figure 1 transports me back to Cangshan Mountain, where the camera perfectly captured the interplay of light and shadow, creating a beautifully natural bokeh effect that still impresses me today.
Figure 2 showcases the breathtaking scenery of Shangri-La’s Pudacuo National Park—the raw image (Figure 3) was already gorgeous, but a quick touch-up in Snapseed made it truly frame-worthy.

These days, my vivo X80 Pro delivers stunning results in perfect lighting (especially golden hour shots). But when it comes to indoor or overcast conditions, close-up photos turn out surprisingly mediocre—the algorithm seems to have a mind of its own. For professional product shots, I still turn to my reliable iPhone 8, which consistently delivers true-to-life colors and razor-sharp focus that clients appreciate.
