PC Build Complete, Just Missing a Graphics Card

After three years and one month of anticipation, I have finally gathered all the components for my dream budget PC, with everything ready for assembly. The setup is complete, and I captured the moment in a photo to mark the occasion.

Of course, I still need to acquire a graphics card. Given my budget of at most €400, I believe AMD is the right choice, as their cards offer 16GB of VRAM compared to NVIDIA’s 8GB or 10GB options, which are starting to show their age. I’m considering a 6900 XT or a 9060 XT, though the newer 7000 series remains difficult to find at a reasonable price in my country. I welcome your thoughts and will keep you updated on my progress.

  1. I totally get the struggle of hunting for a graphics card within a budget—I built my own PC last year and ended up going with an AMD card for the same reason you mentioned: more VRAM for the price. Your point about the 6900 XT being a solid option makes sense, especially since newer models can be so hard to find. Have you checked any local tech forums for secondhand deals, or are you sticking to new stock?

    1. Thanks for sharing your own AMD experience—it’s reassuring to hear that prioritizing VRAM paid off for your build! I’m definitely open to secondhand options and have been browsing local forums, but I’m also keeping an eye on flash sales for new stock since prices can dip unexpectedly. Let me know if you spot any hidden gems, and I’ll update once I make a decision!
